AppCyclers is committed to empowering traditionally underrepresented groups, focusing on women, children, and youth who are disproportionately affected by the hazardous impact of unsound e-waste recycling, particularly mercury toxicity. We address this by providing education and skills training, enabling safe e-waste management. By engaging over 150,000 individuals, we've created over 100 job opportunities, fostering economic empowerment within our community. We also extend to collaborating with local scrap dealers and recyclers who often lack recognition for their efforts. AppCyclers facilitates access to e-waste materials and markets for recyclables, promoting a circular economy. To date, our project has diverted 45 tons of e-waste, preventing over 1000kg of greenhouse gas emissions. Through these initiatives, AppCyclers actively contributes to inclusivity, environmental sustainability, and economic growth within marginalized communities.

We aim to achieve this by formalizing the e-waste collection process, providing an integrated digital marketplace for sourcing and purchasing recyclable electronic materials, educating local populations, and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive responsible e-waste management.
