Our battery as service ecosystem directly benefits motorcycle taxi riders in Nairobi by providing clean and cheaper energy powering their motorcycles compared to traditional fossil fuel. The cost per energy from our battery swap ecosystem is over 40% cheaper (per km rider) than petrol. This enables some of the lowest earning African workers to significantly increase their earnings and alleviate poverty. ARC Ride’s team consists of 95% people of colour and the engineering team is 50% female.
