The team is an inclusive team promoting inclusion as per both school’s policies; with team membership reflecting the diverse nature of both Ardingly College (private) and Ifield Community College (state). Both schools have 50% girls and boys. Ardingly as a boarding school has pupils from 20 countries. Ifield has also a diverse range of students with just over 2/3rds from a White British Heritage with a wide range of ethnic groups making up the remainder. Over a quarter of ICC pupils speak English a second language and 13% of the community has Special Educational Needs.

Mission Statement:
Through education to design, build and produce a sustainable transport solution using the technologies perfected over the last 12 years building solar powered cars to race in he Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.
