Rural Women empowerment:  Project will create opportunities by actively involving rural women farmers in decision-making processes, the project will empower women to become agents of change in their communities. This will enhance gender equity, social inclusivity, and foster sustainable development.
Recognizing the vulnerability of small scale rural women farmers, the project strives to economically and socially empower them. By providing training and support, it seeks to enhance their capacity to engage in sustainable agricultural practices and mitigating deforestation.
The holistic approach of the project extends to building community resilience. By concurrently addressing land degradation, promoting sustainable agriculture, and empowering vulnerable populations, it aspires to create resilient communities capable of adapting to environmental challenges and enhancing overall well-being. The interconnected nature of these needs and issues underscores the comprehensive strategy required for sustainable development in the ASAL regions of Kenya.
