With people of color on the founding team and a young female founder amongst other female leadership, CarbonBridge is a testament to the vital importance of diversity within teams that brings novel, ground-breaking solutions. Our leadership team has an age gap of 47y with an equal split of women and men, which is extremely diverse for the energy/oil & gas industry as well. This has proven extremely advantageous for us, from using old biotech approaches that are no longer employed to using new resources enabled by recent developments. We hope that our team composition will inspire the traditionally underrepresented populations to realize how their diverse experiences can offer new perspectives that can push the climate movement forward.

Furthermore, the CarbonBridge solution is the intersection of biology and engineering. As a hardware company, this translates to a need for the entire gamut of employment - from scientists, research technicians, and engineers to metal and steel workers, truck operators, and construction workers. This need for all levels of professionals reroutes traditionally underrepresented groups, such as heavy industry workers, to climate positive impact.

Mission Statement:

We aim to decarbonize the heavy transportation industry by replacing fossil-fuels with our renewable methanol. This methanol is used directly in marine shipping, can be upgraded to sustainable aviation fuel, and further converted into biodiesel. Our microbial approach using waste GHG as feedstock displaces >1.5 gigaton CO2e/y by 2050.
