Following the collapse of Jamaica's sugar cane industry. Examining the plight of farmers, factory workers, women, and community families, it has been highlighted that the multifaceted challenges stemming from the industry's decline. Farmers face financial instability and the need for alternative livelihoods, while factory workers confront unemployment-related issues. Women, especially those in auxiliary roles, experience job losses, exacerbating gender disparities. Entire communities grapple with heightened poverty and reduced opportunities, and the abandoned infrastructure of sugar mills stands as a tangible reminder of the economic downturn. This project aims to bring back life to the sugarcane industry by using it to make high value biofuels ranging from biopetrol blends, biodiesel blends, sustainable aviation fuels and sustainable marine fuels. This innovative project will empower these affected groups by granting many jobs and reducing inflation caused by energy insecurity, improving general economic standing and develop the status and GDP of the country through energy security and the wide range of low carbon fuels that could be produced and exported.
