Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Through these comprehensive strategies below, this project actively dismantles barriers to participation and fosters an inclusive approach to climate action in Nigeria, ensuring that traditionally underrepresented groups become key drivers of positive change. Local Leadership: through the active participation of women, youth, and representatives from climate-vulnerable communities in project design and implementation.. Cultural Sensitivity: We engage with local knowledge systems and traditional practices, respecting cultural heritage while identifying sustainable solutions embedded within those communities. Targeted Training and Resources: We provide training and resources specifically tailored to the needs of marginalized groups, addressing literacy or language barriers. This equips them with the skills and knowledge to participate meaningfully in project activities and contribute their unique perspectives. Mentorship and Networking - between marginalized groups and project experts, fostering knowledge exchange and leadership development. Community Storytelling by actively documenting and sharing the experiences and stories of marginalized communities through various media, raising awareness about their unique vulnerabilities and contributions to climate solutions. This amplifies their voices and challenges traditional narratives surrounding climate action. Advocacy and Policy Engagement - to support marginalized groups in advocating for policies and initiatives that address their specific needs and concerns related to climate change.
