The Earth Bill is designed as a tool to empower grassroots activists to lead the policy agenda, providing a tool they can use to pressure their own Congresspeople directly.  It provides direct access to lead advocacy for groups and organizations not normally included in the D.C. insider campaigns and policy strategy efforts.  
In this way, it is a great equalizer and uplifter of all local grassroots organizations and individual activists, including many older Americans.

The Earth Bill project also addresses the systemic source of the pollution that is disproportionately impacting communities of color and those with less economic power.  By uniting in common cause to stop the demand for fossil fuels, the bill empowers frontline communities to join forces for collective power to stop FF infrastructure and factories beyond the individual never-ending battles.

Ultimately, The Earth Bill empowers the people to reclaim democracy because it calls the question in Congress of whether they will legislate in the "general welfare" as opposed to the oligarchy.

No other legislation arose from the grassroots.  And no other legislation has mandates to stop climate pollution on a deadline to save the future for all of our children.  This is the people's bill and project.
