Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
The project aims to empower groups traditionally underrepresented in the climate movement, particularly women and local communities. Thanks to the creation of 15 Economic and Cultural Interest Groups (IPCC) made up of 375 women. Women play a central role in the conservation of the cultural landscape, as they are responsible for the maintenance of traditional dwellings. By facilitating economic independence and action through micro-entrepreneurship activities, the project strengthens gender equality and enables women to actively contribute to the preservation of their heritage. Additionally, the project involves local communities, including youth, in various activities such as conservation projects, school workshops and tree planting. These efforts raise awareness and engage the younger generation, ensuring the transmission of traditional knowledge to future leaders. By engaging diverse community members, the project promotes inclusiveness and amplifies the voices of those who are often marginalized in climate action. This approach recognizes the interdependence of social dynamics and environmental conservation, promoting a holistic strategy that allows different segments of the community to actively participate in safeguarding their cultural and natural heritage. Through these efforts, the project contributes to a more equitable and locally representative climate movement in a nature-based solution project.
