There is a disproportionate participation of women in the renewable energy sector due to the gender gap in access to education and employment. According to ECLAC  https://repositorio.cepal.org/server/api/core/bitstreams/6e653a98-bb35-4df6-9347-24b6e6111f0d/content , from the total of students in electricity-related careers 8-17% account as women in Ecuador, factors that then are replicated in the energy workspace. To reduce the women’s participation gap DREX will make sure to increase women participation in financing screening and installation of new solar projects, aiming to achieve an increase from 3% to 20% the woman coverage factor compared to the total new jobs created in the construction stage.

Mission Statement:

Our mission by 2030 is to deploy 93MWp of solar capacity and reduce 98 Tons of CO2 emissions associated with diesel based electricity by connecting the capital supply and demand of solar projects requiring funds.
