We aim to improve gender outcomes through investments in sustainable enterprises. Accordingly, ECF will be responsive to gender-related risks and opportunities. The portfolio companies will be mandated to adhere to the gender equality requirements of the Fund. The core focus areas include: ▪ Develop focused policies to hire and retain women workforce at all levels. ▪ Ensuring contract agreements with vendors enforcing equal pay, safety, and security of women. ▪ Providing segregated sanitation facilities for men & women. ▪ Effective implementation of appropriate policies for preventing and reporting sexual harassment at the workplace. ▪ Mandating portfolio companies to provide sufficient safety kits for the men & women workforce, depending on the requirement. Additionally, ECF is adopting DEI principles in its operation.
