The use of hydrogen as the fuel of the 21st century is limited today to developed rich communities, where there is access to capital and to knowhow regarding the usage of compressed hydrogen. Electriq's goal is to democratize the use of hydrogen through an easy to use and safe hydrogen carrier that will lower the barriers of entry to the use of hydrogen. The powder, which offers the highest safety and ease of use profile for a hydrogen carrier, is energy rich and has cost competitive targets with the other carriers. 
The hydrogen release system, turning the powder back to hydrogen gas, is very easy to use, working in low temperature and low pressure, and compatible with fuel cells in terms of hydrogen purity and pressure. The first application for the systems is displacing diesel gensets, which are very common in climate vulnerable communities. The end-to-end solution of the powder and the release system offers them an accessible hydrogen solution.
