FFC’s Operators are pillars within their communities who have established trusted food distribution programs among other needed services, the majority of which are led by community members themselves. These Operators’ missions and the communities they serve vary significantly, enabling partnership collaborations to meet the unique needs of several communities. This has included pop-up produce markets, daily and weekly pantry programs, free food distributions, free food box delivery, and more. In 2022, the following percentages of FFC Operators reported serving the following populations through their food distribution programming:
94% - Individuals with disabilities
90% - Young people; Black communities; & Latinx communities 
82% - People experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity; Veterans; & Wage workers/gig workers/day laborers/domestic workers
80% - Immigrant & Refugees; Asian & Pacific islander communities 
75% - LGBTQ population; Undocumented individuals and communities

Moreover, all Gardeners are community members connecting with the nearest Operators. Thus, FFC’s approach empowers individuals to directly improve their local climate and food access, as demonstrated by the FFC 2023 Annual Garden Survey, which indicates:
86% donated more than once
75% donated more than 11 pounds
70% donated the same amount or more than in 2022
60% planted extra produce with the intention of donating
