Himalayan Rocket Stove (HRS) directly empowers traditionally underrepresented groups in the climate movement, particularly women and climate-vulnerable communities in the Himalayas. Women, who bear the brunt of household cooking and heating with biomass, benefit significantly from our clean combustion solutions. By reducing air pollution, HRS stoves safeguard women's and children's health, who are disproportionately affected by smoke-related ailments. This initiative also provides women with more time for education, economic activities, and community engagement by decreasing the time needed for fuel collection.

Furthermore, HRS engages local communities and people from low income backgrounds in the manufacturing, distribution, and maintenance of stoves, fostering local employment and skill development. Our participatory approach ensures that these communities are not just beneficiaries but active participants in climate action, enhancing their resilience to climate impacts.

As a company we have dedicated 20% of company stock towards ESOP programs for our employees as we believe our whole team, from every strata of the organisation, should all benefit from our collective hard work in the implementation of this project.
