Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Empowering women and young people: We invest in the future by identifying passionate individuals from within the community and equipping them with the skills to become sustainable agriculturalists. We train them to master the nursery techniques, integration of trees and crops (vegetables), maintenance, and monitoring of agroecology, gaining independence and a sustainable livelihood. Building local hubs: Instead of relying on external support, we empower the community itself. Our trained beneficiaries are supported to establish nursery centers, strategically located for easy access. These centers are vital hubs offering a full range of services: quality seedlings supply, planting, monitoring, and maintenance. Decentralizing access: By placing these centers directly in the communities we serve, we remove barriers to accessing quality planting materials. No more long journeys or dependence on outside assistance — regenerative solutions become readily available and affordable for everyone. In pursuit of our objectives, we closely collaborate with the IAA;s Vocational Training Center, specializing in Sustainable Agriculture vocational training. Our strategy involves identifying and selecting ten young and enthusiastic individuals from our target communities. They undergo comprehensive training in technical skills related to regenerative principles, agroecology, agroforesty systems, coupled with entrepreneurial training to cultivate leadership and business management abilities.
