LongStraw Carbon, at its core, values credibility, legitimacy, quality and the social and environmental impact which can be created. We aim to do away with the elitism and topographical discrimination which is inherently attached with carbon credits. Mangrove carbon credits and blue carbon credits in general, are an integral part of our offset project portfolio. Fishermen, as per the UNFAO as well as  the Indian government, are an underrepresented climate vulnerable community. Through LongStraw Carbon, we guarantee them access to a platform whereby they can earn from their blue carbon credits. Ultimately, we would want to be the certifying and verifying body for carbon credits in India, thereby incentivizing the climate vulnerable fisherman community to embrace carbon credits as a source of income.

Mission Statement:

Established in October 2023, we aspire to be the biggest platform for decarbonization through technology and bring carbon credits to the SMEs in India, thus solving for the lack of credibility, quality, transparency and incapacity of social impact which is generally (and mistakenly) associated with carbon credits.
