Prior to every tree planting session we provide trainings to the vulnerable communities including women and girls about the importance of trees in fighting climate change and how they can protect them. We later serve to these communities with maize floor and sugar to support them in times of lack.
Besides that we train communities of how they can successfully plant trees and maintain them to maturity. After that we take record of the names of the people and their contacts and follow up on them on weather they kept the trees in good shape. For those who keep the trees in good shape we provide them with gifts in form of money and also food material like maize floor, beans, and more.
