Recycle My Battery actively empowers traditionally underrepresented groups in the climate movement, particularly focusing on youth and underserved communities. Our educational campaigns, conducted in collaboration with schools, libraries, and community centers, prioritize accessibility for diverse demographics, including people of color and those with limited resources. By engaging with schools and community organizations, we strive to bridge information gaps and ensure that environmental awareness reaches a broader audience.

Furthermore, the project is led by Sri Nihal Tammana, who started this initiative at the age of 10. As a young leader, Nihal represents the potential of youth to drive positive change, inspiring other young individuals to participate actively in environmental initiatives. The project's commitment to free two-way shipping for battery recycling and strategic placement of bins in public spaces ensures that even those with limited financial resources can contribute to sustainability efforts. In this way, Recycle My Battery is working towards breaking barriers and making environmental stewardship more inclusive and accessible to all.
