Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Women play a central role in household cooking activities and are disproportionately affected by indoor air pollution. Our project actively involves women in decision-making processes, providing them with leadership opportunities, technical training, and entrepreneurship support. By equipping women with skills in clean cooking technologies and sustainable business practices, we empower them to become agents of change within their communities. Our project recognizes the unique experiences and challenges faced by people of color in relation to environmental issues. We foster partnerships with local organizations and community leaders to ensure their voices are heard and their perspectives are integrated into all project activities. We actively involve young people in awareness campaigns, educational programs, and skill-building workshops. By empowering youth as advocates for sustainable cooking solutions, we cultivate a new generation of climate leaders who can drive change and inspire their peers to adopt environmentally friendly practices We prioritize reaching out to climate vulnerable communities, Hence our operational areas are remote rural communities of Chikomba district and these are marginalized areas also facing socio-economic hardships. Our project ensures that clean cooking technologies are accessible and affordable to these communities.
