SafeSip Straws provides accessible and sustainable solutions for clean drinking water in Tanzania, empowering those traditionally underrepresented in the climate movement. More than 26 million people lack access to safe drinking water in Tanzania, disproportionately impacting rural communities and women and girls who bear the brunt of water collection responsibilities. 

Our innovative solution aims to impact the lives of 100,000 people in the first year by providing safe drinking water, reducing waterborne diseases, improving school attendance rates, and increasing productivity. Our goal is to reach 1 million people in the next 5 years.

We engage with local communities throughout the design, implementation, and evaluation process, hiring and training local women as SafeSip Straw ambassadors to promote and educate communities on our solution. We distribute SafeSip Straws to rural communities at subsidized rates through partnerships with NGOs, governments, and other organizations. 

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our product, as we use recycled ocean plastic to make our straws, promoting environmental sustainability and reducing plastic waste in the ocean. By creating a circular economy for plastic waste, we aim to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable planet for all.
