The project currently have 1,500 beneficiaries and this is projected to increase to 5,000 people and later on to 50,000 people.

We have a Gender, Youth and Vulnerable Groups Mainstreaming Policy that targets those who are traditionally underrepresnted in the climate movement such as women, youth, vulnerable communities, disabled, Lesbians, Gays, among others. Our programme aims at transforming Rural Lives thru viable, sustainable & community inclusive restoration and conservation to create jobs and incomes, support climate action while improving human health and wellbeing through Miti Afya Bora project .

Our empowerment programme consist of the following:
Local job creation targeting the underrepresented in the climate movement.
Training and capacity development
New revenue streams and sustainable incomes
Setting up targeted businesses ranging from tree seeds, tree seedlings to processing and selling value addition Non-Timber Forest Products
Creating sustainable livelihoods
Improved health and social indicators
