At present, SETBDC producing around 100,000 thousand tree and fruit seedlings yearly for rehabilitation purpose. However, the Nursery site in the park (BDARMP) has a capacity to produce more than 1 million seedlings yearly , but (SETBDC) has a financial limitation. The main target of the project is to repair and rehabilitate the damaged and degraded lands in the Amhara regional state in Ethiopia and to help local communities and improve economic conditions. Planting different species of fruit tree and tree seedlings in the area will provide essential edible fruits, medicinal application, will increase soil productivity, etc. Implementation of the proposed project also will make a real contribution towards the countries priorities of natural resource protection, environmental enhancement, reforestation and biodiversity conservation. The project will also create an opportunity for tree planting awareness creation in the communities and it will motivate the community’s to plant more fruit trees and trees in order to improve communities income source and target area natural resource in the future. The project will give attention to participate women, youth and vulnerable communities as a nursery worker. Generally, around 150,000 community members will involve in the tree planting activities.

To produce and supply different species of fruit tree and tree seedlings for communities to mitigate environmental degradation and improve the communities’ income access. To build and enhance awareness about tree planting and environmental issues in the community for economic, social and environment benefits.
