SunRider empowers traditionally marginalized groups by providing equitable access to sustainable agricultural solutions. In regions like Kenya's arid and semi-arid lands, where women often bear the brunt of agricultural labor, our project offers them increased autonomy and economic opportunities. By leveraging solar power and affordable irrigation technology, SunRider reduces the barriers to entry for smallholder farmers, many of whom are people of color and youth, enabling them to participate in climate-smart agriculture.

Moreover, our initiative fosters community resilience by prioritizing partnerships with local stakeholders and engaging with climate-vulnerable communities. Through collaborative efforts with organizations like Hand in Hand International, we provide training and support to farmers, particularly focusing on women and youth, to adopt sustainable farming practices. Additionally, by reducing reliance on diesel-powered pumps, SunRider mitigates environmental risks and promotes cleaner, more inclusive solutions to climate change.

By actively involving and uplifting marginalized groups in agricultural innovation, SunRider contributes to a more diverse and inclusive climate movement, amplifying the voices and agency of those traditionally underrepresented in climate action.
