Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project was founded by and is led by traditionally underrepresented people in the climate movement, including women, people of color, youth, and those from climate vulnerable communities. While this is not solely sufficient to address the issue of underrepresentation, we believe our backgrounds help positively inform the decisions we make regarding empowerment and inclusivity. We believe a diverse team is better able to understand the communities we will enter into and serve in the future, and we will need diverse approaches and methods to help young people tackle their unique place-based challenges and opportunities. 
A main value in our organization is to not only educate, but to empower youth to be changemakers in their communities. Social cohesion requires that many voices are heard, and a central theme of our program is to highlight underrepresented communities facing environmental injustices around the world, emphasizing the importance of indigenous leadership and proposing ancestral knowledge as possible solutions. We are diligent in ensuring that we tell diverse stories and have a diverse team to do the storytelling, ensuring a wide variety of perspectives are taken into account.

Sustainable & Just Future is a Gen Z nonprofit addressing the environmental education gap. We are solutions-oriented and action-focused, with the goal of equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to become climate solutionists.
