Some of the most polluted environments in the world are in many poor and developing countries. In many ways this is terrible, but it could be converted into a benefit, by onboarding individuals in these communities to safely conduct sampling of these environments can accelerate any potentially useful developments. Utilizing local institutions to conduct research and create shared licensing agreements could allow for external income to come into these communities as well to help with the pollution and sustainable economic development.
