In Egypt, rural communities grapple with heightened vulnerability due to climate change-induced land loss, impacting their income. The situation worsens with poor air quality resulting from prevalent agricultural waste burning. YuDa addresses these challenges by empowering these communities, with a particular focus on women, to transform agricultural waste into marketable global products. This sustainable initiative not only generates additional income but also curbs harmful waste burning, contributing to improved air quality. Crucially, the emphasis on women ensures that the additional income is derived from non-working members, preserving existing employment opportunities within these communities. YuDa aims to uplift rural communities, mitigating climate change impacts and fostering a healthier environment.
