How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our project emphasises inclusivity and empowerment of underrepresented groups in the climate movement, including women, rural communities, youth, and climate-vulnerable communities. We prioritize these groups within our organizational structure and project implementation to ensure their voices and perspectives are integral to our initiatives. Firstly, we actively recruit individuals from local communities to create a sense of ownership and belonging. We also offer targeted training and capacity-building programs tailored to empower participants with skills in sustainable practices, advocacy, and leadership. Our project engages local communities, particularly those vulnerable to climate impacts, by involving them directly in the planning and execution phases. Incentivise tree planting by providing agroforestry seedlings for those willing to plant trees This participatory approach ensures that our efforts align with their specific needs and priorities, enhancing both efficacy and ownership. By establishing partnerships with grassroots organizations that work closely with these underrepresented groups, we ensure that our project not only amplifies their voices but also utilizes their rich, localized knowledge for mutual benefit. This approach creates a more equitable climate movement and enhances the resilience and adaptability of these communities in facing climate challenges.
