Primary Project Category:
How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
We are committed to inclusivity and empowerment of underrepresented groups in the climate movement, including women, youth, and climate-vulnerable people especially in urban-poor communities. By fostering participation and representation, the project ensures that these groups play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable mobility and climate action. The project encourages involvement, training and skill development for women and young people, breaking traditional gender norms in the automotive industry. Young women are now increasingly picking interest in the industry because we provide an enabling environment for them enter the sector, positioning them as leaders in fields historically dominated by men. Youth from climate-vulnerable communities are engaged in environmental awareness. Through targeted public awareness campaigns, communities most affected by poor air quality are educated about the benefits of clean mobility and safer transport systems, empowering them to advocate for their right to a healthier environment turning them into agents of change for climate action. Representation is further ensured through the project’s leadership and decision-making processes, considering individuals from diverse backgrounds, such as the female social worker with over 15 years of experience.
