Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project empowers underrepresented groups such as women, youth and climate-vulnerable communities by integrating them into climate adaptation and resilience initiatives. We prioritize women’s involvement through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and community-based institutions like Vana Surakhya Samiti (VSS), enabling women to lead in adopting climate-adaptive livelihoods such as the System of Rice Intensification, Crab farming, Ornamental Fisheries, Fish Value-Added products, Bee keeping, and organic farming practices, etc as alternate livelihoods. Youth are engaged through school awareness events and youth-focused environmental programs, instilling a culture of sustainability.

These groups are actively represented within our organization, with women and youth leaders trained as Climate Champions. Through targeted training, exposures and technical support, we have equipped them with the skills needed to drive long-term resilience, fostering inclusive leadership within their communities to work for reduction of global warming and climate events.
