How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Our project empowers underrepresented groups, particularly women, youth, and climate-vulnerable communities, by providing them with opportunities to lead, participate in, and benefit from sustainable agriculture and waste management practices. Women Empowerment: We prioritize women’s involvement by providing training and resources for sustainable farming practices, enabling them to enhance their livelihoods. Over 40% of our workforce and farmer engagement programs include women, empowering them as change-makers in their communities. Youth Inclusion: Through education and employment opportunities, we inspire young individuals to actively participate in climate action. By partnering with schools and universities, we encourage youth to engage in innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices. Climate-Vulnerable Communities: Our focus on underserved agricultural regions ensures that farmers in areas most affected by soil degradation, water scarcity, and food insecurity receive tailored solutions. By improving soil health and crop yields, we help these communities achieve greater resilience against climate challenges. Within Baramouda, we foster inclusivity by maintaining a diverse team and creating opportunities for individuals from marginalized backgrounds to contribute to our mission. This inclusive approach ensures that those most impacted by climate change are not only beneficiaries but also active participants in driving meaningful, sustainable change.
