How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Cabax Farms empowers underrepresented groups by actively engaging youth, smallholder farmers, and women in the climate movement. We prioritize inclusive, sustainable practices that create economic opportunities and foster environmental stewardship, especially within climate-vulnerable communities in Nigeria. Youth Empowerment: As a representative of YOUNGO, the youth constituency of the UNFCCC, we provide training, mentorship, and employment opportunities to young people in sustainable farming and renewable energy sectors. Through our initiatives, we inspire the next generation of climate leaders, equipping them with the skills needed to drive environmental change. Women’s Empowerment: We ensure that women are represented in key roles within our operations, especially in farming and leadership positions. We work directly with women in rural communities, providing them with training and access to resources that enable them to participate in sustainable agriculture and biofuel production, ensuring gender equality in both economic and environmental aspects. Smallholder Farmers: Our model supports smallholder farmers, especially those in marginalized communities, by offering sustainable farming practices, technology access, and market linkage opportunities. By empowering these farmers, we help lift them out of poverty while addressing climate change through regenerative agricultural practices.
