Project Summary / Description:

SlagSubZero™ is a project that at full scale will convert 360k t of off-spec steel slag waste into 439k t of carbon-negative SCMs that replaces 50% of cement with a net -0.20CO2e embodiment.  The project co-decarbonizes two hard to abate industries simultaneously; steel and cement.  Furthermore, this project remediates both air and ground pollution by sequestering CO2 and upcycling toxic industrial waste from disadvantaged communities.

Our company is led by a Black owned Founder and CEO along with two Chinese Co-Founders.  Empowering underrepresented groups is natural for our company and project as the intention is inherent.  Furthermore, our project is located near disadvantaged community disproportionally impacted by both air and ground pollution.  Our project will use employees from the local community granting them prosperity and a better quality of life via a cleaner environment.
