Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

By making clean toilets easier to install, cheaper to service, and less polluting, the iThrone will get safe, sustainable sanitation to more people in more places at lower cost:
•	YOUTH: Poor sanitation is responsible for 80% of all infectious disease spread, 4% of death globally, taking the life of one child every minute. Poor sanitation stunts children’s development through rampant diarrheal disease and malnutrition. Also, safe toilets in schools promotes girls’ education. HALF the world’s schools lack proper toilets, contributing to 20% of girls dropping out of school by puberty, cutting them off from future opportunity and agency. 
•	Women: When females lack toilet-access in or near their homes, they have to go in public, which renders them susceptible on a DAILY basis to sexually assaulted (“sanitation-related gender-based violence” (GBV)). 
•	Displaced and rural communities: the iThrone makes is cheaper and easier to install toilets in transitional and rural communities.
•	Marginalized and vulnerable communities: Poor sanitation pollutes the environment, poisons scarce water resources, and propagates climate change. Sewage discharges fuels harmful algal blooms that endanger life on land and in the water, wreaking havoc on coastal ecosystems, killing off precious corals and marine life.
