How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
CLIC RECYCLE empowers traditionally underrepresented groups, valuing and promoting women entrepreneurs in the climate movement by creating opportunities for participation, education, and economic involvement. By utilizing human hair waste, a resource that is often overlooked, CLIC RECYCLE provides communities, particularly those in climate-vulnerable regions, with a sustainable way to engage in circular economy practices. Our approach emphasizes inclusivity, offering local communities—especially women, youth, and people of color—new roles in waste management, water conservation, and regenerative agriculture. Partnerships with grassroots organizations and educational programs engages marginalized groups in hands-on solutions, providing job opportunities and skills training in sustainable practices. We aim to foster awareness and inspire action in communities that are disproportionately affected by environmental degradation, especially in regions where water scarcity and pollution are pressing issues. By embedding smart technology and data tracking in our solutions the access to environmental monitoring is democratized, enabling communities to track and improve local water quality, soil health, and environmental impact. In doing so, we contribute to a more inclusive and diverse climate movement, empowering individuals and communities to lead the way in shaping sustainable, resilient futures.
