Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project directly empowers underrepresented groups, particularly women, youth, and marginalized communities, by actively involving them in wetland restoration and sustainable grazing practices. In Lesotho, where rural communities rely heavily on livestock for their livelihoods, women and youth often have limited access to decision-making processes in natural resource management. By including these groups in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of restoration activities, we ensure that their voices are heard, and their needs are integrated into project strategies.

Women are specifically targeted through capacity-building workshops on sustainable land and water management, which not only enhance their skills but also increase their leadership in community-driven environmental stewardship. Youth are engaged through education programs on climate resilience and conservation, fostering the next generation of environmental leaders.

In our organization, we prioritize diversity and inclusion, with a focus on creating opportunities for women and youth in leadership roles and decision-making processes. Our team is diverse, with members from various backgrounds, including those with lived experiences in marginalized communities, which informs our approach to inclusive climate action.
