Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

FCB's project is run by and empowers young entrepreneurs. The project was founded by Felix and Tae when they were 24 and 27 respectively. 80% of full-time employees are 30 or under. 

1/3 of the management team are female. FCB has an unadjusted pay gap of -56% (leaning in the direction of female staff). 

2/3 of the management team and 90% of full-time employees are people of colour. 

It works with aquafarms in Thailand, which are climate-vulnerable communities, and it educates them about how climate-change will give them new challenges (e.g. increased salinity, temperature stress, increased monsoons and dry-spells). 

FCB's replacement of destructive protein commodities also has knock-on effects on highly underrepresented groups, by reducing demand for Thai fishmeal, we reduce demand for forced labour, many of whom are refugees from Myanmar. 

FCB also provides economic empowerment by saving indigenous farmers money, giving them more free cash to invest in their staff and essential farm equipment. FCB's product is stably priced, unlike volatile protein commodities, which makes long-term financial planning much easier as farmers understand how much their feed will cost in the long-term and how much their yields will be.
