How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
To ensure robust participation and ownership, our strategy involves the creation of participating groups spanning the project area. These groups consist of community members who will be the driving force behind the project. We are committed to establishing a sense of community ownership and active management support from the outset. The involvement of the community will span all project aspects, from initial planning to design and continuous monitoring. The pivotal role in ensuring community participation will be entrusted to the Community Forest Management Committees (CFMCs), with the village heads serving as their leaders. These committees will not only facilitate community engagement but also be responsible for gathering feedback on project progress and addressing any challenges encountered. Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to expand our 3-hectare community forest to 5 hectares over the next three years. Simultaneously, we will continue to operate the microfinance scheme, which has proven to be an effective means of generating sustainable income for women and youth groups. In the long term, our community aspires to collaborate with the state legislature to enact legislation that formally consolidates and safeguards the Community Forest by law. In addition, local dialet will be used in trainings by translators.
