Secondary Project Category:

How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:

['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project directly addresses energy poverty in developing regions, particularly benefiting communities most vulnerable to climate change. The Thermal Floater's design specifically targets areas where traditional renewable solutions are impractical, such as densely populated coastal regions in South and Southeast Asia. By providing affordable clean energy access, we empower these communities to build resilience against climate impacts while supporting economic development. Our team reflects this commitment to diversity and inclusion, with members from various backgrounds and developing nations. We actively engage with local communities in our target markets, incorporating their feedback into our design process and ensuring our solution meets their specific needs. Through partnerships with local organizations and educational institutions, we're also creating opportunities for young innovators, particularly from underserved communities, to participate in the clean energy transition.
