Primary Project Category:
How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Just Scrappin’ is dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to contribute to a more sustainable society. While we are focused on growing our subscription-based food waste collection service, we recognize that financial barriers may prevent some individuals, particularly those in underrepresented communities, from accessing these services. In these instances, education becomes a critical tool for preventing and reusing food waste. By equipping people with practical knowledge, we aim to foster sustainable habits that make a difference regardless of economic circumstances. Founded by women, Just Scrappin’ is a family business built on passion and purpose. I bring years of professional and personal leadership experience, while my daughter, a single mother of Hispanic descent, contributes her expertise in quality assurance and a deep commitment to creating positive change. Together, we bring a unique blend of perspectives and strengths to our mission of reducing food waste and promoting environmental stewardship. Our shared vision is to inspire individuals from all walks of life to take small, meaningful steps to care for the planet. Through education and action, we hope to encourage everyone to play an active role in protecting the earth and building a sustainable future for generations to come.
