How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:

['Reduces GHGs (e.g., projects that reduce sources of GHGs, such as through efficiency or other changes in consumption)']

Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Reecopack’s initiative directly empowers underrepresented groups by focusing on women, youth, and climate-vulnerable rural farming communities. Around 40% of the farmers trained and supported by Reecopack will be women, ensuring equal opportunities in sustainable farming practices and waste management. As a youth-led organization, Reecopack employs young people, providing them with the opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability while gaining valuable skills and employment. By engaging with rural farming communities, Reecopack helps farmers generate additional income through sustainable practices and equips them with knowledge on proper waste management, a critical challenge in these areas. This holistic approach not only addresses gender equality and youth empowerment but also directly contributes to climate change mitigation, ensuring that the most vulnerable groups are equipped to thrive in a changing world.
