Rescue Mazingira is an innovative waste management initiative designed to tackle environmental pollution and climate change. This initiative uses an innovative technology of IOT  based smart bins that' promotes responsible collection and disposal of waste  by rewarding those who take charge in practicing the cleanup with points that later get withdrawn inform of cash. These bins are equipped with various sensors to track user activity, vandalization, level of waste, when the bin needs maintenance.
This intiave have collaborated with some local recycling industries  to divert the  recyclable materials from landfills minimizing greenhouse gas emissions and fostering a circular economy. This initiative have also made people in community to be responsible of their environment without being forced.
