SOLAR THRIVE empowers underrepresented groups, including women, youth, and climate-vulnerable communities, by designing solutions tailored to their needs and creating opportunities for meaningful inclusion.

Our business model focuses on smallholder farmers, many of whom are women, providing them with affordable solar-powered cooling technologies to reduce post-harvest losses, increase incomes, and improve food security. Additionally, our upcoming women-focused entrepreneurial training program will empower women to build businesses around solar cooling, fostering economic independence and leadership in rural communities.

Youth are integral to both our organization and our impact. Our team is predominantly youth-led, bringing innovative perspectives to the climate movement, while our technology creates job opportunities in rural areas for field agents, technicians, and community trainers.

We prioritize working with climate-vulnerable communities in off-grid areas, such as Rusinga Island, by providing sustainable cooling solutions that address both economic and environmental challenges. These technologies reduce reliance on diesel generators, improve public health, and enhance resilience to climate change impacts.

Representation is embedded in our organization: Savanna Circuit is co-founded by a woman and youth leaders, ensuring diverse perspectives guide our mission. This inclusivity enables us to align with the UN SDGs, address systemic inequalities, and position our solutions as transformative tools.
