How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
So far it has provided economic opportunity and ownership to 3 individuals and amongst them one young black women. By july 2025 we will employ another 2 and transfer skills to them, as well as saving the employment of 2 further people, whose business otherwise would have to close down (this with upskilling, too). By 2026: 60people employed and upskilled. By 2028: 4000direct employees in disenfranchised fishing communities, plus improving the lives of people working in ports and living around them, by removing NOx, sulphur and particles from the air. We are not there yet but our farming on land, vs offshore (reserved typically for manllen), so we enable women or people caring for others to join the work force. Also sulfur, nox and particles (which we reduce) reducing the health burden on poor communities, typically living around harbours and logistic hubs. Furthermore we will bring large scale economic opportunity to communities in very rural areas, where the lack of existing infrastructure otherwise negates development of economic opportunity.
