Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
SEEA WORKS actively empowers underrepresented groups, including women, youth, and climate-vulnerable communities, by providing opportunities for economic inclusion and leadership in sustainable agriculture and waste management. Our organization is committed to creating social impact while addressing environmental challenges, ensuring that these groups play a central role in our operations and decision-making. Women are key stakeholders in our project. Through training programs and employment opportunities, we equip them with skills in Black Soldier Fly (BSF) technology, organic farming, and entrepreneurial management, enabling them to generate sustainable incomes. Women leaders, like Akibariki Bahati Esther, our co-founder and sales manager, exemplify how SEEA WORKS fosters women's leadership in the climate space. Youth engagement is another cornerstone of our mission. By involving young people in waste recycling and sustainable agricultural practices, we empower them as agents of change in tackling climate and food security challenges. SEEA WORKS also collaborates with schools and youth organizations to raise awareness and build capacity for sustainable livelihoods. Located in the climate-vulnerable region of Eastern DR Congo, SEEA WORKS prioritizes creating solutions for communities most impacted by environmental degradation. Our products (organic fertilizers and animal feed) support local farmers in building resilience while reducing dependency on harmful practices.
