Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project champions inclusivity and empowerment, ensuring that women, youth, and marginalized groups actively participate in and benefit from renewable energy advancements. Through our Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Action Plan, we address systemic barriers such as poverty feminization, education inequality, the gender pay gap, and unequal access to renewable energy.

Collaborating with the Strategic Women and Youth Institute (SWYI), we engaged over 2,500 respondents during Phase 1 of Ze Gen accelerator, 85% of whom were women and youth. Insights from this engagement have informed tailored strategies to address identified challenges and foster sustainable solutions.

Our initiatives include the Sirius-X Energy Fellowship, Early Career Academic Programme (ECAP), and Clean Technology Trainings and Webinars, which provide participants, especially women and youth, with technical and entrepreneurial skills in clean energy.

Community Engagement: Co-designing energy solutions with affected communities.

Supplier Diversity: Integrating women- and minority-owned businesses into our supply chain.

Capacity Building: Equipping participants with skills for sustainable careers.

Through Gender Action Plan (GAP) and Social Inclusion Plan (SIP), we incorporate gender-sensitive metrics, inclusive benefits, and accessible solutions, ensuring equity and impactful results.
