Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project empowers underrepresented groups, particularly women, youth, and climate-vulnerable communities, by providing access to clean energy solutions that directly address their needs. In off-grid communities, women and girls are often burdened with the time-consuming and health-harming task of collecting firewood or kerosene for lighting. By offering affordable solar home systems, we not only reduce their reliance on harmful energy sources but also free up their time for education, income-generating activities, and improved health.

We also prioritize youth and women by creating training and employment opportunities for local technicians, many of whom are young people and women from the communities we serve. This helps build local capacity, reduces youth unemployment, and fosters leadership in the clean energy sector.

In our organization, women and youth are well-represented across various roles, from management to field operations. We actively encourage diversity and inclusion, ensuring that voices from these underrepresented groups influence decision-making and project implementation. This inclusive approach not only strengthens the project’s impact but also empowers the communities we serve to take ownership of their clean energy future, creating long-lasting social and environmental benefits.
