How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)', 'Removes/stores GHGs (e.g., projects that capture, sequester, or otherwise enhance the "sinks" that accumulate and store GHGs)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Empowerment Initiatives: 1. Women's Empowerment: By facilitating access to fair markets and financial services, we enable women farmers to increase their incomes and improve their livelihoods. This aligns with initiatives like UN Women's project on economic empowerment through climate-smart agriculture in Kenya. 2. Youth Engagement: We provide training and resources to young farmers, fostering their participation in sustainable agriculture and climate resilience. 3. This approach mirrors efforts to integrate youth into Africa's food system transformation. 4. Climate-Vulnerable Communities: Our platform supports farmers in adopting climate-smart practices, enhancing their resilience to climate change impacts. This is in line with projects aimed at strengthening resilience through women, youth, and innovation in the Horn of Africa. Our leadership team reflects our commitment to diversity and inclusion: 1. Roy Njoka (CEO & Co-founder): Roy brings extensive experience in agritech and a passion for empowering smallholder farmers. 2. Lovell Larbie (CTO & Co-founder): Lovell leads our technological innovations, ensuring our platform meets the needs of diverse farmers. 3. Martin Mpungu (COO & Co-founder): Martin oversees operations, focusing on equitable service delivery to all farmers.
