Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Our project actively empowers underrepresented groups in the climate movement, particularly communities in rural and vulnerable areas of Colombia, many of whom are directly affected by climate change. By involving local communities in the restoration of peatlands, we provide economic opportunities, promote environmental stewardship, and ensure that marginalized voices are integral to decision-making processes. These communities, often composed of indigenous people, farmers, and women, are trained in sustainable land management practices, restoration techniques, and monitoring efforts, fostering both skills and leadership within the climate space. Our leadership team includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, and we prioritize inclusion by creating an environment where different perspectives are valued and contribute to the innovation of our work. Through our community-based approach and internal practices, we aim to create a more inclusive and equitable climate movement that supports both the environment and the social fabric of those most impacted by climate change.
