Impact on Underrepresented Groups:

Trovador actively empowers underrepresented groups in the climate movement, particularly youth and climate-vulnerable communities. As a project born out of The Knowledge Society, Trovador is led by a diverse team of young innovators passionate about solving global challenges. Our team includes recent university graduates and students, providing them with opportunities to apply their skills in robotics, AI, and sustainability to create real-world impact. 

By focusing on reforestation efforts in regions severely affected by wildfires, such as Fundão, Portugal, we aim to support climate-vulnerable communities. Restoring forests in these areas not only enhances local biodiversity but also mitigates climate risks like soil erosion, floods, and loss of livelihoods. Through partnerships with municipalities and local organizations, we aim to involve these communities directly in the reforestation process, creating educational and economic opportunities.

Mission Statement:

Trovador’s mission is to enable efficient, large-scale reforestation in challenging terrains through precision-planting robots. By focusing on tree survival rates and soil health, we aim to provide scalable, cost-effective solutions to restore ecosystems, sequester carbon, and address the global reforestation gap while empowering communities and mitigating climate risks.
