How Project Affects Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions:
['Replaces/avoids GHGs (e.g., projects that replace sources of GHGs, such as the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, transport, or other energy uses)']
Impact on Underrepresented Groups:
Uprise Energy’s Mobile Power Station (MPS) empowers climate-vulnerable communities by providing clean, reliable energy to regions that often lack access to traditional power infrastructure. These communities, which frequently include underrepresented groups such as women, people of color, and youth, disproportionately bear the burden of energy inequality and climate impacts. By replacing polluting diesel generators with renewable wind energy, the MPS supports resilience, reduces energy costs, and fosters sustainable development in these areas. Our ZE-Gen program in Fiji, for example, is focused on delivering renewable energy to remote island communities, where climate vulnerability is high, and infrastructure is limited. This project directly benefits local populations, creating opportunities for education, economic development, and environmental stewardship. Within Uprise Energy, we strive for inclusivity in our organizational culture and partnerships. Our projects actively involve local communities, prioritizing collaboration with diverse stakeholders to ensure equitable access to clean energy solutions. Additionally, we engage youth and climate leaders through education and outreach initiatives, fostering the next generation of advocates for renewable energy. By addressing energy inequities and prioritizing inclusivity in our operations, Uprise Energy not only contributes to global sustainability but also empowers underrepresented groups to play a vital role in the climate movement.
